Life at Skedify: Business Development with Fred

Who are you?

Hi, my name is Fred, I'm 24 years old, I'm currently working as a BDR at Skedify and I've been doing this for one year and two months already.

What’s your role here?

So as a BDR, my main task is in fact, to generate leads for our sales team by doing research about companies that fit into our core verticals and connecting with the right sales & marketing or digital leaders over there. I've tried, in fact, to make a liaison between them and our sales team here in order to grow both on a local and international level in order to further digitalise appointment scheduling.

What do you like most about your job?

So, what I personally love about my job is that some of my personal character traits, like my willpower, curiosity and social skills, are really taken into account through my job. I really love to get to know new people and new companies, but also have a lot of willpower in order to just generate opportunities, get the lead and get the meeting. And during all these tasks, I also get involved in very interpersonal conversations. I'm a social beast, so I really like to get involved with this. 

What’s unique about this place?

So the thing I might like the most about Skedify is in fact, the open and collaborative culture here. People are really open to each other. You can talk with everyone about every project. But also, about personal issues and nevertheless, people really care about your opinion. So I also get involved in technical projects, but also partnership projects. So I think the thing I like here is the openness and the fact that everybody listens to each other and appreciates each other's opinions. 

What’s next for you?

So, in the peak of the pandemic, like in August 2020, I was hired here at Skedify as a BDR, but now one year later, I'm really involved in growing and expanding Skedify through the partnership model in Europe as a whole. So I’m looking forward to today to take part of this expansion and growth story and looking forward to get appointment scheduling as hot as possible in Europe.

What message do you have for new applicants?

So starting as a BDR at Skedify, really is interesting for all young potentials or young professionals, as you really get to know a lot of companies and talk to a lot of interesting people. But what business without pleasure? So Skedify is also about pleasure, laughing, having fun with your colleagues, certainly on Friday nights and during team trips. So, I really recommend you to start here as I love the young company culture. And, who doesn't want to be part of a growing successful story?
